Mayor Pat McCrory believes that public safety should be our #1 priority.

As Mayor, police staffing and resources have increased with the hiring of more than 400 new police officers on the street, which has led to decrease in crime, particularly homicides which are down 32% over the past decade. All this during a 20% population increase. Also, is leading effort to bring citizens from across the state to our state capital to increase resources for criminal justice system.

Led Caravan to Raleigh for gang legislation and increased funding for state criminal justice system to back up our police and their efforts
